Fresh Prince at River Island

Basically, i was invited to come back to River Island Head Office and do another week of work experience with the lovely ladies on womenswear design. i was paired up a saucy little minx who designs shorts, trousers and jumpsuits.

There are the Fresh Prince/Afro 80's/Aztec/Tribal inspired items which i created during the week.

i then got my hands on some sexy coloured spray paint, and boy i was hiigghhh, for real my head was hurting after a while.

Anywayyyy....

This pair of shorts are the trial ones  and i just played around with a black marker and had a look what i could do.

I then took this and applied it to shoes and a bandana/scarf

To conclude it, the creative director LOVED the pieces and she now has possession of these BEAUTIFUL GARMS so you bitches look out in Spring/Summer 2012.

My Time at River Island

I have loved working at River this week and it has just made my goal of becoming a retail designer more stronger than ever. Being in such a nice creative environment was really refreshing and i was  so comfortable. These were the fabric boards i made for the dresses department along with some designs. (below)

River Island OVERLOAD

Not only do i work at River Island Brent Cross, but this week i am at River Island Head Office working for the Ladies Wear Design Team on Dresses.

I am here for a week and its amazing being behind the scenes of High Street Fashion. Its amazing. Really love it.

Shopping

So today i went shopping for the first time with my Staff Discount at River Island, and i must say its amazing!! 30% OFF! plus & 75% OFF "Workwear". And a luxury of being a student, TOPMAN offer 20% discount for students. a day of discounts... ohhhh yeaaahhh!!

As I've worked at River Island i have wanted these items for SOOOO long. They have been calling my name as i pass them, and today they are truly mine. (I'll make a look-book image with all my new purchases :))

In total this all cost me £129.63 as appose to £202.97 saving me £73.34 (Ohhh laa laa!)
