XMAS PREZZIES!

These are my highlights of my presents of 2010 :)

i jizzed literally when i got my Sewing Machine and my Lazy Oaf backpack! they are all amazing presents, i am very satisfied :)

Then i got the xmas essentials; Sweets, Chocolates, Pringle Boxers and little stocking fillers as well as a little £££ ;)

My Canon AV-1 arrived last night wooo hoooo! i have wanted one of these for a while now and the other night i was roaming around ebay and i found one and me and online shopping is a bad habit but SOOOOOOOOO worth it!

My Time at River Island

I have loved working at River this week and it has just made my goal of becoming a retail designer more stronger than ever. Being in such a nice creative environment was really refreshing and i was  so comfortable. These were the fabric boards i made for the dresses department along with some designs. (below)

After harsh criticism and being what i called 'Creatively Bruised' this week i think i have produced something that i think will really impress and reboost my confidence in creativity.

I currently have a theme of Identity, and i must be honest i was no way inspired by this theme. but after taking these pictures im feeling confident.

I have a photography project which i am doing for my A Levels and i have chosen the theme of IDENTITY. i decided to get my glamorous model Hannah Rose to talk about things that made her laugh, angry, and intrigued her. As she spoke, i was taking images of her face to capture her facial reactions and this is what i caught.

Everyones facial expressions are unique and different and they catch a glimpse of who that person is. so this is "The Face of Hannah Rose"

Not my favourite of shoots or spreads!  I really don't like this cover ... just because of the polka dot dress, how she's lying and the expression on Keira's face. i also think its too dark to have on the cover so close to xmas plus the overload of writing doesn't work. very different from the normal Vogue UK's covers.

Tonight, London held host to the British Fashion Awards honouring the best and brightest in the world of London style. Among the them were Nick Knight, with a tribute film to the late Alexander McQueen winner of the BFC Outstanding Achievement Award in Fashion Design and Celine’s Phoebe Philo took home the prize for British Designer of the Year and model Lara Stone was named Model of the Year, and reluctant It girl Alexa Chung earned the British Style Award.

River Island OVERLOAD

Not only do i work at River Island Brent Cross, but this week i am at River Island Head Office working for the Ladies Wear Design Team on Dresses.

I am here for a week and its amazing being behind the scenes of High Street Fashion. Its amazing. Really love it.

Shopping

So today i went shopping for the first time with my Staff Discount at River Island, and i must say its amazing!! 30% OFF! plus & 75% OFF "Workwear". And a luxury of being a student, TOPMAN offer 20% discount for students. a day of discounts... ohhhh yeaaahhh!!

As I've worked at River Island i have wanted these items for SOOOO long. They have been calling my name as i pass them, and today they are truly mine. (I'll make a look-book image with all my new purchases :))

In total this all cost me £129.63 as appose to £202.97 saving me £73.34 (Ohhh laa laa!)
